Sustainability and Externalizing Costs by John FullertonSustainability - John Fullerton of the Capital Institute talks about his journey from Wall Street to being a sustainability advocate. An early influence in his understanding of the sustainability crisis was the work of Herman Daly's book, For the Common Good: Redirecting the Economy toward Community, the Environment, and a Sustainable Future. John discusses "externalities" and the unsustainable practice of externalizing costs and risks, both social and environmental. The most dramatic and recent example of this practice is the BP oil spill.
John Fullerton was interviewed by Ruth Ann Barrett of EarthSayers.tv, the voices of sustainability in San Francisco, California on October 7, 2010.
