The Municipal Decentralized Autonomous Government (GADM) of Chone canton and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) launched the "AgroJOVEN Chone: Tu destino, nuestro legado" project. This initiative aims to foster youth economic and labor inclusion by valuing Chone's agro-food identity, biodiversity, and Montubia culture. Funded by the Italo-Ecuadorian Fund for Sustainable Development, the project will run until 2027.

It will offer accessible routes for vehicles, walking, cycling, and horseback riding, with local and institutional actors discussing its benefits.

Key support for this route comes from the GEF Marine Coastal Governance Project, implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and executed by Chile's Ministry of Environment, Undersecretariat of Fisheries and Aquaculture, and National Fisheries and Aquaculture Service.

Ahead of LARC39, a private sector consultation and dialogue is scheduled for January 21st. This event will facilitate exchanges with the FAO regional representative and technical leaders on regional priorities, alongside a dedicated coordination session for private sector participants.

The coordination session aims to gather input for a declaration outlining the sector's position, which will be presented to member countries during LARC39. Participants will also elect representatives to advocate for the sector at the main conference in March.
