Ten years of piano taught me to view problems as creative prompts, not obstacles. Instead of repeating mistakes, I learned to brainstorm new approaches. This mindset, applicable broadly, fuels innovation from wheels to everyday designs. Embracing it improves our lives and can impact others.

Angelina Ning, a sophomore at American Heritage, is passionate about science, a NCVPS peer tutor, and co-lead for their Virtual Buddy Program and TutorTalk blog. Music, central to her life since age five, has shaped her perspective with lessons she believes can benefit everyone.
