He encourages seeking foods that are better for us and the land, making every day our own Earth Day.

For a decade, Johnson's team has built successful rural and urban community-focused habitat programs. His work in the Dakotas aligns farmers, ranchers, grasslands, and birds in win-win scenarios. Audubon's market-based Conservation Ranching Program now enrolls over 2 million acres across 60 ranches, and he leads the largest urban conservation program in the Northern Great Plains.
