6G cellular networks will be highly complex, requiring deep learning (DL) to achieve significant system-level gains through site-specific communication techniques. Prof. Jeffrey Andrews will present his group's DL innovations for 6G. These include a novel beam alignment approach offering up to 1000x speedup, a new architecture for high-dimensional channel estimation using deep generative networks, and site-specific multicell optimization that rapidly learns near-optimal antenna array settings, outperforming conventional 3GPP methods.

As a computational ecologist and Ohio State professor, Dr. Berger-Wolf's work integrates computer science, wildlife biology, and social sciences. She co-founded Wild Me, an AI for conservation non-profit, home to the Wildbook project.
