Grasslands and Carbon by John Fullerton

Sustainability - John Fullerton of the Capital Institute talks about his journey from Wall Street to being a sustainability advocate. An early influence in his understanding of the sustainability crisis was the work of E.F. Schumacher author of the book, Small is Beautiful.

John goes on to discuss his work with Allan Savory, founder of Holistic Management, in restoring grasslands and, ultimately, carbon back to the soil. The interview was conducted by Ruth Ann Barrett of EarthSayers.tv in San Francisco on October 7th, 2010.

David W. Orr is the Paul Sears Distinguished Professor of Environmental Studies and Politics and Special Assistant to the President of Oberlin College and a James Marsh Professor at the University of Vermont. He is the author of The Nature of Design (Oxford, 2002) and Design on the Edge (MIT, 2006). The Heat Is On - Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Ross Gelbspan, author of The Heat Is On: The High Stakes Battle Over Earth's Threatened Climate, provides documentation on how global warming is real and increasing. He exposes the campaign by oil and coal interests, teamed with conservative politicians, to confuse the public on the issue. His book was published in 1997 as Mr. Gelspan was early in getting people to confront the facts of climate change.
