James discusses his passion for outdoor hockey and how climate change threatens the sport. He highlights his "Shinny Forever" project, an outdoor refrigerated rink in Kamloops, British Columbia. With five years at TRU's Sustainability Office and a Master's thesis on climate change's impact on pond hockey, he is deeply concerned about the planet's environmental health.

Despite these concerns, James is inspired by people and technologies addressing environmental issues, witnessing positive examples at TRU.
