The workshop included presentations from the Climate Action Reserve and the American Carbon Registry on carbon offset standards and forest project requirements. Great River Energy discussed carbon policy from an energy provider's perspective, while the Aitkin County Land Department updated attendees on a Northwoods carbon offset project. The event was organized by the Aitkin County Land Department, The Forest Guild, Northeastern Area - US Forest Service, and Dovetail Partners.
