Modernizing Medicare and Medicaid: How to Upgrade America's Health Care by Donal Berwick who in this December 2010 speech before the Commonwealth Club speaks from the perspective of his role as Administrator, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). This is his fifth month holding this postion.

Keynote Speaker Donald Berwick addresses the graduates on Class Day 2012 of Harvard Medical School. Donald Berwick, who recently led the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, told graduates that in a contentious and sometimes confusing time for medicine, a physician's "true compass" should always be the oath to care for all patients.  He references healthcare as a human right.

If people are given a choice based on the reality of what happens to our world when we disregard for the systems that sustain us and what would be if we return to the ancient knowledge that sustained the people of this hemisphere for thousands of years.
