This independent analysis assesses CBAM opportunities, barriers, and feasibility, contributing to the ongoing debate on the EU’s CBAM proposal and trade’s role in climate policy. Speakers include representatives from the European Commission, Microsoft, and leading research institutions.

We really believe we can look at nature for solutions, instead of synthetic materials like plastic, says Pierre Paslier, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Notpla, a prestigious start-up that was one of last year's Earth Shot prize winners.

Notpla's innovative packaging solutions use seaweed and plants as alternatives to single-use plastics, with their expanding portfolio including :

- Edible bubbles for beverages and condiments
- Biodegradable take-away food containers
- Films and sachets for dry goods

At the end of its life, the packaging can be turned back into compost that in turns feeds new seaweed and plants.
