Both initiatives aim to enhance environmental and health outcomes, alongside their bottom lines.

Edge computing reduces data transfer costs and enables real-time, private data processing by relocating computation to local devices. However, realizing its full potential requires advanced data analysis and content generation, specifically generative Artificial Intelligence (AI).

This talk investigated the challenges of deploying generative AI at the edge. It aimed to enhance privacy and efficiently use network and computational resources. The discussion considered edge environment limitations and current solutions for optimizing AI models on resource-limited devices, addressing efficient distributed learning for applications like Large Language Models.

On July 27, 2012, we sadly announce the passing of Grandfather/Maestro Tlakaelel (Francisco Jimenez Sanchez), a revered Mexica-Tolteca Elder, teacher, guide, and guardian of oral traditions. More information is available from the SEED Institute.

Tlakaelel lived into his 90s, dedicating his life to learning, teaching, and honoring ancient traditions. He generously shared his profound knowledge with both Indigenous and non-indigenous communities.

We are profoundly grateful for his life and enduring legacy. He will be honored at the upcoming Wisdom from the Origins Conference, September 13-17, 2012, in Albuquerque, NM.
