She explored the causes and nature of this complex problem, examining emerging evidence-based solutions and their impact on communities. Roman also addressed the feasibility of ending homelessness, considering the necessary knowledge, capacity, and public and political will.

Afia's diverse background also encompasses 15 years as a creative head in advertising. A LEAD and Australia Awards Fellow, she is deeply engaged in climate change policy advocacy and activism. She currently serves as President of Baanhn Beli, Vice President of Salman Sufi Foundation, and Chair of the Indus Earth Trust Board of Trustees.
