Food waste is a global problem. In 2017, Singapore alone discarded 810,000 tonnes, often perfectly edible but abnormally sized produce rejected by vendors. These valuable food resources could instead be collected and redistributed to those in need.

To combat this, Singaporean Daniel co-founded Sg Food Rescue. Featured by major media, his organization conducts "food rescue missions" by collecting unsellable produce from suppliers and distributing it to the needy, effectively addressing both waste and hunger.
