Roach will share wild stories, like rat-bait taste testing, at an INFORUM event on September 21, 2021. She will guide a conversation on safe human-animal integration, moderated by Wired's science editor, Kara Platoni. The event is hosted by The Commonwealth Club of California, the nation's oldest and largest public affairs forum.

Mary Grace Almandrez discusses the significant impact of water privatization on communities, particularly women in rural areas, and the trickle-down effects of water scarcity. She urges us to consider climate change from the perspective of those directly affected in their daily lives.

Dr. Almandrez is the Associate Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer at the University of Rhode Island, where she champions diversity, equity, and fosters a vibrant community. Previously at Brown University, she advocated for student success and oversaw key student services, including Residential Life and Student Support. She also chaired Brown’s Threat Assessment Team.
