Alexandra Flynn is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Human Geography at the University of Toronto. Her research focuses on urban governance, planning law, and Indigenous-municipal relationships.

Before her academic role, she represented First Nations governments in land disputes and agreements, and worked in intergovernmental relations for the City of Toronto. Her forthcoming book with Lexis Nexis explores the evolving role of municipalities in Canada's legal system.

Frances Cudjoe-Waters, a Black woman and Harvard Law alumna, realized the exhaustion of politely presenting her pain to predominantly white audiences. She decided to abandon polite conversation and speak her truth, declaring, "I Ain't Sorry." She never expected to witness the reemergence of civil rights issues like Charlottesville and repeated acquittals for killings of Black individuals, reminiscent of the 1960s.
