This iconic bird, North America's largest, was rescued from a population of just 22 individuals in 1982 through a dedicated captive breeding program. Today, approximately 500 condors exist worldwide, with about 300 flying free across the American West and Mexico.

Corwin then travels to his home state of Massachusetts to work with the Department of Fish and Wildlife. His mission there is to protect the unique saltmarsh sparrow, a species vital to the delicate salt marsh habitats of the East Coast.

During the UN Climate Ambition Summit on September 20, WECAN hosted an event where women leaders called on governments to halt fossil fuel extraction. They urged investment in a Just Transition, grounded in climate justice, care economies, and Indigenous rights, rather than business as usual.

The event featured two panels. The first, "Women Ending the Era of Fossil Fuels," discussed transitioning away from extraction and policy advocacy. The second, "Women-led Climate Solutions Are Central to a Just Transition and Thriving Future," showcased successful community-led climate solutions.

Hill is the Founder and Director of The GlobalChurch Project.

Woodley and his wife Edith previously led a Native American gathering and developed a holistic service model, including a sustainable farm and Christian community. This initiative, which taught sustainability and eco-justice, was unfortunately disbanded due to violence. The GlobalChurch Project films Christian leaders and churches from diverse non-Western cultures, providing resources like curriculum, books, and training videos. The Women's Earth and Climate Network (WECAN) hosted the Assembly from June 23-28, 2025. It united over 125 grassroots and frontline women leaders, global advocates, and policymakers from 50 countries. Across 25 panels, participants presented diverse visions and strategies to accelerate a transformative path toward a healthy and just world.

A recent press conference showcased how this framework protects biodiverse ecosystems, Indigenous sovereignty, and human rights. Advocates from organizations like WECAN and Health of Mother Earth Foundation shared insights.
