We'll hear from Pastor Tillman about his work in communities of color in Baltimore, MD, and Thais Lopez Vogel about environmental justice projects the VoLo foundation supports. Rev. Louis Tillman, Senior Pastor St. Philip's Evangelical Lutheran Church A graduate of Carthage College, the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago (LSTC), and Air Univ., Rev. Tillman proudly serves as the 16th Senior Pastor of St. Philip’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Baltimore, MD. The past 10 years he has served as the regional volunteer coordinator for the Mary Lou & Arthur F. Mahone Foundation, whose mission is to provide educational opportunities for economically and academically deserving youth, support healthy lifestyles initiatives in communities of color. Thais Lopez Vogel, Co-Founder/Trustee of VoLo Foundation A native of Caracas, Venezuela, Thais is responsible for setting priorities, approving strategies and allocating resources at VoLo. She envisions VoLo playing a leadership role in expanding awareness of environmental issues. She created Florida Climate Week making it the most important climate focused event in the Southeastern U.S. Her focus includes childhood education and global health care. He has 30+ years of journalism and development cooperation experience including advisory functions and consultancies for various groups like the Swedish Prime Minister’s Office, the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs & OECD - OCDE.

? Dr Yemisi Akinbobola is an award-winning journalist, academic, consultant and co-founder of African Women in Media (AWiM). AWiM’s vision is that one-day African women will have equal access to representation in media. Joint winner of the CNN African Journalist Award 2016 (Sports Reporting), Yemisi ran her news website IQ4News between 2010-2014 and holds a PhD in Media & Cultural Studies from Birmingham City University, where she is a Senior Lecturer. She has published scholarly research on women’s rights, African feminism, journalism and digital public spheres. In 2021 she was recognised as one of the 100 Most Influential African Women.

? Guy Berger is Director for Freedom of Expression and Media Development at UNESCO. He is responsible for the Organization’s global work on press freedom, safety of journalists, internet freedom, media pluralism and independence, gender and media, media and information literacy, and journalism education. Before joining UNESCO, he headed the School of Journalism and Media Studies at Rhodes University, South Africa, and was the deputy chair of the South African National Editor's Forum. He holds a PhD from Rhodes University, has published extensively, and has won several awards.

During the last century, our extractive farming practices have contributed to the depletion of nature and brought us to the brink of a planetary emergency, resulting in climate change, catastrophic biodiversity decline and a crisis for public health. With half of our land now used for agriculture, farmers across the globe have become the primary stewards of nature, climate and health. Yet their delivery of public goods requires redesigning our businesses and industries away from systems based on extraction and growth and towards approaches based on the principles of regeneration, sustainability and the circular economy. During this talk, His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales shares support for an international harmonised framework for measuring farm sustainability. His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales is the eldest son of The Queen and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Anne is the Head of Design at Dassault Systemes and she talked us through what she has learnt working at many large companies and what advice she’d give to young designers out there.
