Dr. Andrew Steer, President and CEO of the World Resources Institute (WRI), highlights the evolving global economy, stating, "We have a window of opportunity to break through that inertia." WRI is a global research organization with over 1000 experts working in more than 80 countries, including offices across Brazil, China, India, and the United States.

With a PhD in economics, Dr. Steer brings extensive experience from the World Bank, where he served as Special Envoy for Climate Change and held other senior roles. He is also a Commissioner for the Global Commission on Adaptation, a Global Agenda Trustee for the World Economic Forum, and a member of several key environmental and development initiatives.
