The textiles industry's linear "take-make-waste" model has a significant environmental impact. To counter this, the Ellen MacArthur Foundation proposes universal circular economy policy goals. A key objective is to "make the economics work," fostering circular business models (resale, rental, repair) through incentives and regulations to make them the norm.

An April 27th episode explored how policy can enable this transition in fashion and textiles. Experts from the European Commission, European Environment Agency, and Swedish EPA shared perspectives on increasing circular business model adoption.

Holding a BA in Economics and an Entrepreneurial Management certificate, Adejoke received a grant from Nigeria's Vice President and was a Top 5 finalist in the Creative Business Cup 2019. She actively volunteers in entrepreneurship and has showcased her unique products globally.

Glenn Jampol, President of Cámara Nacional de Ecoturismo (CANAECO), presented on "The Role and Challenges of Certified Sustainable Tourism..." at the 2010 EcoTourism and Sustainable Tourism Conference in Portland, Oregon. His talk was part of a panel sponsored by The International Ecotourism Society (TIES).

In 1985, Jampol founded Finca Rosa Blanca Coffee Plantation and Inn in Santa Bárbara de Heredia, Costa Rica. This "Boutique" hotel, based on early sustainable standards, is now lauded by the New York Times and Conde Nast Traveler as "one of the best hotels in the world." It also boasts 35 acres of certified shade-grown organic coffee, cultivated and roasted on-site.
