This channel also features over 2400 videos on MMIW+ and Indigenous issues. Janiyah is 5’2”, 105 lbs, thin build, hazel eyes, and long dark-brown hair. She was last seen around 10:45 p.m. on May 7, 2026, in Winnipeg's Chalmers neighbourhood. Police and family are deeply concerned.

WECAN also launched its “Escazú Agreement Toolkit for Women Land Defenders and Frontline Communities.” This resource offers eleven country-specific guides to help women land defenders navigate domestic laws for Escazú Agreement protections, ensuring their rights and environmental safeguards. The panel "Indigenous Women From Brazil on the Path to COP30" was held on June 28, 2025, as part of the Global Women’s Assembly for Climate Justice: Path to COP30 and Beyond. Hosted by the Women’s Earth and Climate Network (WECAN) from June 23-28, this session featured prominent Indigenous women leaders from Brazil, including Secretary Puyr Tembé, Federal Deputy Célia Xakriabá, Jozileia Kaingang, and Watatakalu Yawalapiti, many affiliated with ANMIGA.

The National Turtle Lodge Elders’ and Knowledge Keepers’ Council calls for a National Day of Prayer on Sunday, June 6, 2021, at various times across Canada. This collective prayer responds to the tragic discovery of 215 children at a Kamloops residential school, honoring all affected by the residential school system.

Elders and Knowledge Keepers will lead ceremonies, lifting Sacred Pipes and lighting Sacred Fires, praying in Original Languages. Their aim is healing, fostering a new relationship based on love and kindness, and supporting today's children through ancestral ways.

All are invited to join this Sunday by participating in their own traditions. A special gathering at Turtle Lodge in July will seek further spiritual guidance for the country's path forward.
