Jeffrey Webster, PhD, an Instructor of Psychology from Langara College, presented "The H.E.R.O.(E) Model of Wisdom" at the University of Chicago Wisdom Research Forum on May 8, 2015.

This model, which stands for Humor, Experience, Reflection, Emotion, and Openness, highlights the importance of grounding wisdom in real-life experiences.

His research focuses on molecular biology and organic chemistry for drug discovery, currently extracting SFTI-1 from sunflowers for eczema treatment. He aims to raise awareness of the nature-medicine relationship and encourage biodiversity preservation for environmental and human survival.
