Jeff Corwin explores the Great Plains' interconnected species. He aids bison re-establishment with Native American tribes and conserves black-footed ferrets, once thought extinct. Ferrets critically depend on prairie dogs, a keystone species decimated by habitat loss and Sylvatic plague, nearly causing their extinction. The species was famously rediscovered by a dog named Shep.

Conservation efforts involve canine teams, like Melissa Steen and Tule, locating ferrets in prairie dog burrows. Spotlight teams, including Chamois Andersen, then find and trap ferrets at night. Biologists like Jessica Alexander collect vital data and administer life-saving vaccines against Sylvatic plague, ensuring this fragile population's survival.

Harriet Harvey Horn discusses how creativity can unlock new climate possibilities despite current global challenges. As a Climate Reality Project Leader, personally trained by Al Gore, she is one of over 31,000 advocates globally presenting facts and solutions to the climate crisis.

Since 2018, Harriet has delivered numerous talks and logged over 250 Acts of Leadership. She co-chairs the Climate Reality San Francisco Bay Area Chapter and is active with several climate organizations. Her passion for restoring a healthy Earth is fueled by her two sons. She holds an MBA, a BS in Electrical Engineering, and multiple climate-related certifications.

The National Turtle Lodge Elders’ and Knowledge Keepers’ Council calls for a National Day of Prayer on Sunday, June 6, 2021, at various times across Canada. This collective prayer responds to the tragic discovery of 215 children at a Kamloops residential school, honoring all affected by the residential school system.

Elders and Knowledge Keepers will lead ceremonies, lifting Sacred Pipes and lighting Sacred Fires, praying in Original Languages. Their aim is healing, fostering a new relationship based on love and kindness, and supporting today's children through ancestral ways.

All are invited to join this Sunday by participating in their own traditions. A special gathering at Turtle Lodge in July will seek further spiritual guidance for the country's path forward.
