Eva Hakansson, a mechanical engineer and world-record holder, challenged perceptions of electric vehicles (EVs) as slow or inferior. Raised in a racing household, she designed and built her own electric motorcycles, shattering countless world records and demonstrating the true potential of EVs to be both fast and exciting.

Her journey began with Sweden's first e-bike, the 'Electrocat', leading to the 'KillaJoule'. This electric motorcycle achieved 434 km/hr, making it the fastest female-driven electric motorcycle. In this talk, Jane Turville shares insights gained from Rosemary Anderson High School students who examined climate change through local public opinion, pollution, health, economy, community impact, and homelessness.

An award-winning filmmaker, Jane began making films in 2005. She co-produced "A PASSION FOR SUSTAINABILITY" and wrote, directed, and produced "THE GREENEST BUILDING," which aired on over 250 PBS stations. Her film "OUR VOICE, OUR WORLD, OUR FUTURE" won the Best of the Northwest Community Empowerment Award. She has also directed five short narrative films and received screenwriting awards.
