Erick Gonzalez, Guatemalan teacher and healer, will speak about the Mayan prophesies for 2012 and beyond, not as they are portrayed by Hollywood, but as rooted in the ancient teachings of the indigenous Mayan peoples. Yesterday, on the Indigenous National Day of Action, October 14, 2015, Missy Crowe and Lisa Montelongo EBCI tribal members, IEN representatives, on behalf of the Indigenous Environmental Network, submitted a Resolution to the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians Tribal Council in support of our climate justice work, during a regular session, and accepted unanimously .... strengthening their commitment to Climate Justice in solidarity with all Indigenous Peoples / People's Climate Movement.
