Professor Anas Ghadouani, an environmental engineering expert at The University of Western Australia, leads the Aquatic Ecology and Ecosystem Studies research group. His group focuses on innovative technologies for water resources, ecological, and environmental engineering.

With over 20 years of experience in water research and teaching, Professor Ghadouani has led numerous national and international projects. He currently directs the Cooperative Research Centre for Water Sensitive Cities.

This program helps federally-assisted schools meet Constitution Day requirements, which mandate annual educational programs around the Constitution's signing anniversary.

The lecture, "Founders, Framers and The Future: Applying the Constitution in the 21st Century," features a conversation with Professor Mary Sarah Bilder (Boston College Law School, author of *Madison's Hand*) and Professor Akhil Reed Amar (Yale Law School, author of *The Constitution Today*).

Organized by the SIRGE Coalition, this virtual roundtable will explore Indigenous self-determination. Leaders will discuss its historical journey, current challenges, and its link to collective rights, including Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC). They will also address practical steps for policymakers, states, and corporations to align with diverse global expressions of self-determination.

Additional topics include advancing self-determined priorities, overcoming challenges for self-determination's inclusion in the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), and navigating autonomy within this framework.
