Jens Ulltveit-Moe, founder and Chairman of UMOE, discusses sugarcane ethanol as a vital solution for reducing CO2 emissions from transportation.

A prominent figure in Norwegian business, Ulltveit-Moe established Umoe AS in 1984, growing it into one of Norway's largest privately-owned companies. His extensive career includes leadership roles at McKinsey, the SHV group, and Knut Knutsen OAS. He has also served as president of the Norwegian Shipowners' Association and the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise, and holds board positions with Cicero and Environmental Defense Fund Ltd. Europe.

Dr. Dan Wildcat, Director of the Haskell Environmental Research Studies (HERS) Center and Dean of the College of Natural and Social Sciences at Haskell Indian Nations University, delivered this report.
