Anna, author of *Diet for a Hot Planet*, highlights the unsettling connection between food production and global warming.

The mother-daughter duo concludes that "hunger is not caused by a scarcity of food but by a scarcity of democracy." They advocate for recognizing food as a powerful starting point for solving some of our planet's most significant challenges.

Frances Edmonds, Head of Sustainable Impact at HP Canada, drives HP's commitment to a circular economy and sustainable business. She leads Canadian sustainable procurement initiatives and HP Canada’s corporate social responsibility programs. Under her leadership, HP became Canada's most sustainable technology company in 2018.

A recognized expert, Frances co-founded WWF's Living Planet programs and advises on sustainable impact, including for the Council of Canadian Academies' Circular Economy panel. She received her second Clean 50 award in 2017 for her contributions to sustainability. With a background in environmental science and safety, she brings extensive expertise.
