With numerous organizers and partners, the group has led multiple strikes and a petition for a climate debate. Isra prioritizes accessible, visible action, focusing on climate change's disproportionate impact on Black and Brown communities and amplifying frontline voices.

These include tick-borne diseases, allergies, asthma, and waterborne illnesses, which are increasing in frequency and disproportionately affect vulnerable communities.

As past president of the American College of Physicians and a co-author of their 2015 position paper, Dr. Damle is a leading voice on the human health effects of climate change. He speaks globally, is a founding member of the Medical Societies Consortium on Climate Change, and advocates for mitigation efforts to legislative bodies and health departments.
