A global leader in sustainable development, McDonough champions "more good, rather than less bad" practices. He co-authored *Cradle to Cradle: Remaking the Way We Make Things* and co-founded the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute. Hailed as "the father of the circular economy" and a "Hero for the Planet" by Time magazine, McDonough's philosophy offers practical, world-changing design solutions.

William Winkel, a researcher with the Detroit Historical Society and co-manager of the Detroit '67 Oral History Project, contributed to "Detroit 1967: Origins, Impacts, and Legacies." A Wayne State University graduate, he has conducted extensive research and interviews on the subject.

His lecture, "The Myth of the Model City," will explore the lead-up to and the 1967 Detroit uprising. It aims to clarify the causes of unrest and dispel common myths surrounding these pivotal events.
