Speakers feature European policymakers, industry experts, and CLG Europe’s Taskforce members, including Commissioner Virginijus Sinkevičius and MEP Sirpa Pietikäinen. It will analyze the EC's approach to the package and discuss systematic circular design solutions.

The event aims to foster stakeholder dialogue on the legislative package, covering various pieces of legislation. Ultimately, it seeks to accelerate the EU's climate-neutral and circular economy transition.

Key speakers included officials from the European Commission (Yvon Slingenberg, Ruth Reichstein), European Parliament (Pascal Canfin, Nicolás González Casares), and national ministries (Tomas Lindman, Peter Wittoeck). Leaders from various business and climate organizations, such as CER Slovenia, Skift Business Climate Leaders, Spanish Green Growth Group, Haga Initiative, VELUX Czech Republic, Stiftung Klimawirschaft, We Mean Business Coalition, and CISL, also participated. JP Viñals joined Activists Coming To Inform Our Neighborhood (ACTION) in 2013 to address environmental and social issues in Hunts Point, South Bronx. The neighborhood, home to New York's largest food distribution center, endures 15,000 daily trucks, causing severe air pollution and some of the nation's highest asthma rates.

As ACTION's president, Viñals focused on transforming the defunct 1.25-mile Sheridan Expressway into a vibrant boulevard. This expressway restricts access to the Bronx River and green spaces, forcing heavy truck traffic onto local streets, harming residents and contributing to pollution. ACTION supports a broader campaign to replace it with housing, hospitals, and green areas, leading school presentations and community education efforts.

Christof Koch is a prominent neuroscientist focused on the neural bases of consciousness. Born in 1956, he earned his Ph.D. in biophysics after studying physics and philosophy. His distinguished career includes extensive research on the brain, particularly the visual cortex, and developing theories of consciousness. He notably collaborated with Francis Crick, co-discoverer of DNA's structure.

Koch served as a professor at Caltech for decades before becoming Chief Scientist and President of the Allen Institute for Brain Science, where he led pioneering brain mapping efforts. An influential figure, he has authored several books and speaks widely, advocating for a scientifically grounded approach to understanding the mind.
