A multi-award-winning marine conservationist and Youth Poet Laureate, Asa returned to Cuba to restore coral reefs. He found communities motivated by their love for the land, not paralyzed by climate change's injustices.

A Geoscientist, Dr. Miller specializes in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) for Natural Hazard Management. His research in the Caribbean and the United Kingdom investigates how major catastrophes (such as earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, landslides, tsunamis, and volcanoes) impact urban development, economies, and environments.
