Kaz Shuji's talk addresses mass extinctions, arguing this critical issue is as urgent as climate change. He explains the causes and dangerous consequences of these extinctions, urging greater action to prevent further biodiversity loss.

An Ashbury alumnus (Class of 2017), Kaz is a third-year biology student at the University of Ottawa. He conducts research in zebrafish physiology and behavior, driven by his interests in animal behavior and ecology.
