The briefing emphasizes that aligning decarbonisation efforts with cost-of-living support generates more favourable economic outcomes. Research by Cambridge Econometrics, commissioned by CLG UK, demonstrates that such an approach is also more progressive, primarily benefiting lower-income households. This strategy offers a "best of both worlds" solution for the UK economy.
