Speakers included Ms. Anne Nuorgam, an expert member of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues; Rani Yan Yan, Advisor to the Chakma Circle, Bangladesh; and Ms. Milka Chepkorir Kuto, a human rights activist from Sengwer, Kenya.

Driven by her love for her hometown river, Rani Sahay, a geography scholar and founder of Peepal The Resilience Lab, was saddened to find it a landfill upon her return. Drawing on her experience at the National Disaster Management Authority and UNICEF India, she mobilized her team and the local community. Together, they developed sustainable livelihood opportunities to address pollution sources, successfully reviving the river and fostering a thriving community.
