This collection was inspired by our coverage of the The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability (AASHE) 2014 Annual Conference held in Portland, Oregon in October, 2014.
As we grow the collection we intend to feature institutes such as the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership and other organizations of higher learning focused on increasing the adoption of sustainability principles and practices.

Effects of Land Use Change on Bee Communities |
Deepa Senapathi's study investigated over 80 years of land-cover change in Britain and its impact on insect pollinator communities. The research reveals that expanding single habitat types, such as arable land, can be detrimental to pollinators. Conversely, diverse, mixed habitats, including urban environments, may benefit species diversity. This study was published on April 1, 2015. EarthSayer Deepa Senapath |
