This collection was inspired by EarthSayer interviews of Roz Savage, ocean rower and environmental campaigner and Howard Lack, CEO of the Foundation, Plastic Oceans.

Plastic Oceans provides a powerful and effective platform campaigning for, supporting and funding targeted solutions aimed at significantly reducing plastic pollution in the environment. Their aim is to significantly reduce plastic pollution in the environment. This collection calls out organizations and individuals around the globe who share a concern for the plight of our oceans.

First-hand Experience with Plastic in Our Oceans by Roz Savage

Roz Savage, British ocean rower and environmental campaigner, talks about plastics in our oceans, plastic pollution being called a "man-made global catastrophe" in the context of her first-hand experience with the scale of the problem as she rowed, solo, from San Francisco to Hawaii on the first stage of her Pacific Ocean crossing. Roz Savage Meeting up with the two scientists on the Junk craft, they shared dinner and their research with Roz several hundred miles east of Hawaii. Bottom line is we need to use less of it.
