Making Sustainable Good Business by Glenn Jampol

Glenn Jampol, Presidente, Cámara Nacional de Ecoturismo (CANAECO), talks about his journey from being a student at Berkeley to arriving in Costa Rica and becoming involved in sustainability and environmental stewardship as the founder of the first "Boutique" hotel in Santa Bárbara de Heredia, Costa Rica. Based on the best sustainable standards of the day, Finca Rosa Blanca Coffee Plantation and Inn, is now considered "one of the best hotels in the world," according to the New York Times and Conde Naste Traveler. The hotel also has 35 acres of certified shade grown organic coffee, which is grown, picked, and roasted on premises.

Glenn was videotaped by Barry Heidt of sustainabletv with editing support by Tom Hopkins of Sustainable Today at The International Ecotourism Society's (TIES) 2010 ESTC event in Portland, Oregon, September 8-10, 2010.
