Our Youth Speak Up

About This Collection

Let's hear from our children, and their advocates, on the social, environmental, cultural, and economic concerns around sustainability and the call to always act responsibly and with the next seven generations in mind. The collection will also feature, from time to time, adults who are speaking on behalf of children.

To add to this collection email children@earthsayers.com.  Thank you.

Seven years ago, Esther Bonney lost her brother to suicide at just 12 years old, leading her to find solace in nature. Her walks along a creek in Charles County, Maryland, sparked a passion for native pollinators and ecosystems, culminating in the founding of the nonprofit Nurture Natives in 2022 to promote biodiversity in the Chesapeake Bay region.

Nurture Natives collaborates with community organizations to offer educational programs and native plant giveaways. The nonprofit has engaged over 15,000 youth, planted 3 million native seeds, and restored 420 acres of habitat in Maryland. Recognized with the 2024 Presidential Environmental Youth Award, Bonney aims to expand this healing initiative nationwide.
