Salzburg Global Seminar
The mission of the Salzburg Global Seminar is to challenge present and future leaders to solve issues of global concern.  It convenes imaginative thinkers from different cultures and institutions, organizes problem-focused initiatives, supports leadership development, and engages opinion-makers through active communication networks, all in partnership with leading institutions from around the world and across different sectors of society.
The Salzburg Global Seminar seeks to magnify the impact of individuals and institutions that bring just and humane values to bear on the global challenges facing their societies and the world and is an an independent, non-governmental organization with a Board of Directors drawn from diverse regions, backgrounds and fields of expertise.

Teacher Quality is Critical for Educational Reform by Dylan William

Dylan Wiliam, Emeritus Professor of Educational Assessment, Institute of Education, University of London discusses the importance of teacher quality across all nations and types of government.

The Salzburg Global Seminar brought together 63 participants from 24 countries, in order to take a closer look at what needs to be done in order to ensure that quality education is available for all.

The conference was entitled, "Optimizing Talent: Closing Educational and Social Mobility Gaps Worldwide" at the Salzburg Global Seminar (Dec. 2011)
