Dave Courchene's dream conveys a Grandfather's urgent message: profound Earth changes are imminent. Humanity must prepare for a simple, spiritual life, detached from technology that harms the land. On November 28, 2015, at Turtle Lodge in Sagkeeng First Nation, Manitoba, Indigenous Elders and Knowledge Keepers presented The Great Binding Law. This significant presentation, led by Anishinabe, Nehetho (Cree), and Dakota representatives, responded to the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs' request for guidance on the National Energy Board's pipeline proposals.

The Elders, including Oshoshko Bineshiikwe (Blue Thunderbird Woman) and Nii Gaani Aki Inini (Dave Courchene), shared their wisdom. A video of part of their presentation is available, though sacred ceremonies were not recorded. Symon Ptashnick filmed the event.

Don Alejandro Cirilo Pérez, known as Wakatel Utiw (Wandering Wolf), is a Quiche Maya spiritual leader from the highlands of Guatemala. He leads the National Mayan Council of Elders, serves as Day Keeper of the Mayan Calendar, and is a 13th-generation spiritual guide. Grandfather Cirilo is also a founder and Grand Elder of the Continental Council of Elders & Spiritual Guides of the Americas, and an Extraordinary Ambassador for indigenous pueblos in the Guatemalan government.
