On March 15, 2019, 1.5 million people globally participated in the School Strike for Climate. In this talk, 12-year-old climate activist and songwriter Lucy Gray makes a compelling argument for climate justice as humanity's path forward. She discovered her passion in 2017, subsequently forming a climate action group at her school.

When international strikes reached New Zealand, Lucy led the Christchurch strike and founded its local SS4C group. She now co-convenes the national School Strike for Climate NZ team, a student-led initiative urging urgent government action. These strengthened her technical and leadership skills, providing practical tools for ecosystem restoration and community-based conservation in Huascarán National Park.

FAO digital badges boosted Lizet's professional credibility, fostering new collaborations and knowledge sharing. She advocates for these free, multilingual courses, encouraging students and professionals to explore them for collective learning and resilient landscapes.

In support of the UN Youth Climate Summit, the Carnegie Climate Governance Initiative (C2G) hosted interactive games for young climate leaders on September 22, 2019, in New York City. The event explored complex decisions surrounding the deployment of climate-altering technologies to address global heating.

Climate Interactive facilitated a "Model-UN-like" negotiating game, utilizing the En-roads Climate Solutions Simulation. This powerful tool allowed participants to interactively explore the combined effects of various policies and technologies on atmospheric CO2 levels and global temperatures.
