Wisdom Keepers

About This Website

There are fifty+ channels on YouTube bringing the voices of wisdom keepers to the fore, most publishers are indigenous communities. We support the sharing and preservation of sacred wisdom teachings, the very foundation of sustainability principles and practices, and offer EarthSayers as a "connecting tool" working towards the idea of One Voice through this special collection and other vidoes on EarthSayers such the series, Native Perspectives on Sustainability.

We are grateful to the individuals and organizations who are using the world wide web to present and spread the indigenous voices of sustainability.  A proposal is in progress to obtain funding to create a wisdomkeepers.tv, worldwide, in 2019.

Honor The Earth by Winona LaDuke

A 10 minute film about the work of Honor the Earth featuring the music of John Trudell.

Honor the Earth is a Native-led organization, established by Winona LaDuke (Anishinaabe) and Indigo Girls Amy Ray and Emily Saliers, in 1993 to address the two primary needs of the Native environmental movement: the need to break the geographic and political isolation of Native communities and the need to increase financial resources for organizing and change.
