Liderazgo femenino que transforma comunidades rurales
March 12, 2026

The EU-funded "Recovery of Livelihoods and Rural Enterprises" (REME) Project, implemented by FAO and the Government of Guatemala, strengthens the production capacities of rural women. Isabela Juárez, 26, from Ixil, El Quiché, exemplifies this. She transitioned from a beneficiary to a community leader, now guiding 35 women in poultry production and rural entrepreneurship.

Isabela's story highlights how training, technical assistance, and innovation empower rural women, improve food security, and create opportunities for youth.
