Harnessing the Power of Higher Education to Accelerate London's Circular Economy Transition
September 09, 2020

Higher education institutions are powerful agents of change, influencing through teaching, research, and campus management. London, home to many leading universities, engages over half a million students and staff annually. These institutions serve as vital hubs, connecting local councils, schools, businesses, and the wider community to share knowledge and raise awareness.

Our HE-led city demonstrator project, in partnership with the London Waste and Recycling Board (LWARB) and 40+ universities, harnesses this collective power. It aims to showcase how the education sector can advance London’s circular economy ambitions. This live session will feature Imperial College, UCL, LSE, London Interdisciplinary School (LIS), and the LWARB, discussing their activities and ambitions within this collaborative London approach.
