This training video, part of the African Phytosanitary Programme by the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC), guides on surveying *Bactrocera* (fruit flies), including proper Jackson trap use. These highly destructive, invasive pests pose major phytosanitary risks, threatening trade, agricultural production, and food security. Their detection in exports leads to significant economic losses and market restrictions.
