Data-driven biosecurity: modelling risk and ensuring continuity in animal production
March 24, 2026

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the World Animal Biosecurity Association (WABA) are hosting a webinar series on biosecurity in animal populations. It explores consistent, sustainable biosecurity implementation to improve animal health, production, One Health, and food security.

The series offers practical tools for managing infectious disease threats. The first introduces a data-driven framework to identify disease risk and optimize biosecurity investments. The second addresses avian influenza, focusing on occupational exposure and preparedness, including targeted biosecurity and business continuity. These demonstrate how evidence-based analytics enhance prevention, protection, and response in livestock systems.
