In the last biennium, FAO supported Latin American and Caribbean countries to transform their agri-food systems. Despite a fourth consecutive year of decline, over 33 million people still suffer from hunger, and millions lack healthy food access. Through its "Four Betters" (better production, nutrition, environment, and a better life), FAO fosters more efficient, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable systems.
