FAO supported countries in Latin America and the Caribbean in transforming their agrifood systems. While hunger declined for the fourth consecutive year, over 33 million people still face food insecurity, and millions cannot afford a healthy diet. FAO addresses these challenges by advancing more efficient, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable systems through its "Four Betters": better production, nutrition, environment, and life.
