What does the circular economy mean to you?
February 18, 2020
The circular economy has been established as a compelling concept with a clear business case to be applied to the redesign of everyday products and fundamentally new operating models for businesses. In this live conversation, members of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation team will discuss and debate some the underlying values and topics relevant to the circular economy. For example, how much does the circular economy differentiate from sustainability, or the notion of recycling on steroids? Is it more about efficiency or effectiveness, and does that even matter? Is it better implemented as a top-down or bottom-up approach? This broadcast features four members of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation team: Seb Egerton-Read, Learning Programmes Lead - has been working with the Foundation for six years. Currently leads our institutional learning programmes including Learning Hub and the From Linear to Circular programme. Stella Chavin, Business Activation Manager - works with our network partners on activating collaborative projects and delivering inspiring workshops. Sarah O'Carroll, Government & Cities Network Manager - facilitates networking and knowledge sharing between the Foundation’s government and cities members; working with them to build collaborations with each other and other parts of the network. Laura Franco Henao, Learning Engagement Manager - working within the Foundation and external partners to create valuable and inspiring content through regular live broadcasts (such as this one) to build understanding of the circular economy.
