To combat hunger and poverty amid geopolitical, climate, and economic challenges, transforming agrifood systems is crucial. The FAO’s Hand-in-Hand Initiative connects governments, development finance partners, and private investors to create bankable investment opportunities, reducing risks and mobilizing capital.

Since 2022, the initiative has secured USD 7.88 billion in financing. At the recent Hand-in-Hand Investment Forum, 38 countries and five regional initiatives showcased investment opportunities aimed at enhancing value chains, productivity, and food security.
